Bio
David Ruybalid is an artist and songwriter whose songs have gained him quite a following in his home state of Colorado. Both his musical and vocal training have helped him gain recognition across the nation. His music is full of emotion that is poured out every time an instrument is put in his hands. The music is not meant to skyrocket him to fame. “The collision of truth with this world is what my music is about”, David says. “No matter if you see me in a church or a rock venue in downtown Denver, I want people to walk away with a new excitement for hope.”
At age 12 David studied blues theory from custom harmonica designer Dan Todd. He then got his first pass at the professional music world at age 15 when he drummed on a recording for Dok Rok Records in Cleveland, OH. In the last few years, He has been a driving force of production and management for artists on the local, national and international level.
In 2004 Kingsway recording artist and worship leader, Mark Tedder, took David under his wing. David began leading worship along side of Mark at Woodmen Valley Chapel a 6000 member church in Colorado Springs, CO. Fall of 2005 he became the worship director for the churches student ministries as well as led a next gen worship gatherings with author and pastor J.R. Briggs. In 2006, he moved to Boulder, CO where he a served as the Worship Director at Calvary Bible; a two campus church of 1500 members.
With a released EP, “Deeper Love” he will be busy going on tour around the Midwest. David is currently leading worship at The Journey Church in San Jose, CA. He is devoted to bring the message of Jesus to the unchurched world of The San Francisco Bay Area.
